What is Prizm™ Transitions®?
Prizm™ Transitions® is a new addition to the Prizm™ lens portfolio — a seamless fusion of two industry-leading technologies. Oakley's Prizm™ lens technology enhances colour and contrast so you see more detail, while Transitions® advanced light modulation technology darkens the lens with UV exposure and fades back when you move indoors.
Together, they create a lens that adapts continuously to changing light and sport conditions. From early-morning training to a midday sprint under the UAE sun, Prizm™ Transitions® lenses keep your vision sharp — automatically. No lens changes. No compromises.

Prizm™
Prizm™ is Oakley's proprietary lens technology, developed over decades of research. Using a precise mix of lens dyes, Prizm™ intensifies the colours that matter and reduces those that don't — creating enhanced colour, contrast, and detail tuned for your environment.
Transitions®
Transitions® dynamic lenses use advanced light modulation technology to adapt to changing light. They darken outdoors with UV exposure and return to a lighter tint indoors — seamlessly. Blocking 100% of UVA and UVB rays and filtering blue-violet light.*

Prizm™ Base
A unique combination of Prizm™ dyes engineered to provide colour and contrast enhancement. This is the always-on tint — it does not change with UV exposure.
Iridium® Coating
Gives each lens its distinctive mirrored aesthetic and colour identity — Black, Cobalt, Ember, or Pyrite — and contributes slightly to overall VLT.
Transitions® Technology
The dynamic layer. Reacts to UV exposure using Transitions® advanced light modulation technology, darkening outdoors and lightening indoors.

Why is there still a tint when the lens is not activated?
The always-on tint comes from the Prizm™ base layer, which does not change with UV exposure. It provides continuous colour and contrast enhancement regardless of light conditions.
Do the different lens colours serve different purposes?
No. All four colours share the same Prizm™ base formula and Transitions® technology. The Iridium® coatings provide aesthetic variety and slightly modify the overall VLT only.
Is Prizm™ Low Light the base for these lenses?
No. Prizm™ Transitions® uses its own unique Prizm™ formulation — a dedicated base lens tint made with a specific combination of dyes.
Which sports are these lenses made for?
Prizm™ Transitions® lenses are not sport-specific. They suit any activity where light conditions change — from road cycling to running, training, and beyond.
Will more colours be released?
At this time, there are no plans for additional colours beyond Ember, Cobalt, Pyrite, and Black.
